Hi all,

Let me start this topic.  ;D   I found this quote very true!

"The arrow is straight but cruel; the lute is crooked but sweet. Therefore, judge men by their acts, not their appearance."  -----  Tirukural, Verse 279

Isn't it true how we immediately view a person solely by his looks? I think many of us definitely have this habit. Even i sometimes jugde a person by his outer apperance. Thats very wrong! This is just like the english saying, " Dont judge a book by its cover"

hey shamini check dis quote out by Swami Vivekananda!

It is our own mental attitude which makes the world what it is for us. Our thought make things beautiful, our thoughts make things ugly. The whole world is in our own minds. Learn to see things in the proper light. First, believe in this world -- that there is meaning behind everything. Everything in the world is good, is holy and beautiful. If you see something evil, think that you are not understanding it in the right light. throw the burden on yourselves!

i really in fact believe that this is true. Everything depends on our attitude. Lets all have beautiful thoughts i say!!
Life is a mystery live it to solve it

 Hi guys,

here are two quotes that made me appreciate every moment of my life. Life is not always happy nor is it smooth. We face lots of obstacles  each day and sometimes we can be overwhelmed by them. At such times, recall these quotes.

" Life is like this : to experience the greatest bliss, you have to also experience the greatest sorrow "

" For you to know the value of love, He created the backdrop of misery.Without this, how would you know what love is ? "

cheers.

If you havent made any mistakes that means you havent tried anything new - Einstein -

The above is not in his exact words but close to his original statement. That makes me happy even if i have made something terribly wrong sometimes.

Things will go wrong when you least expect them to - Murhpy -

This justifies people who are extra careful when doing things.I like it so much, because it is 99.99 % true, i think...

Hi everyone!

I would like to share some quotes from Osho. His discourses are really inspiring. I've matured a lot from listening to his discourses.

"To be alone in the only real revolution. To accept that you are alone is the greatest transformation that can happen to you."

"Any human being who is becoming independent of conditionings, of religions, scriptures, prophets and messiahs, has arrived home. He has found the treasure which was hidden in his own being."

"Falling in love you remain a child; rising in love you mature. By and by love becomes not a relationship, it becomes a state of your being. Not that you are in love - now you are love."

"Never confuse intellect with intelligence, they are polar opposites. Intellect is of the head; it is taught by others, it is imposed on you. You have to cultivate it. It is borrowed, it is something foreign, it is not inborn. But intelligence is inborn. It is your very being, your very nature."

"Misery nourishes your ego -- that's why you see so many miserable people in the world. The basic, central point is the ego."

"Man has lost one quality, the quality of zestfulness. And without zest, what is life? Just waiting for death? It can't be anything else. Only with zest do you live; otherwise you vegetate."

"Your innermost core has always been pure. Purity is intrinsic to you, it cannot be taken away. Your virginity is eternal. You cannot lose it, there is no way to lose it. You can only forget about it or you can remember it. If you forget about it, you live in confusion. If you remember about it, all is clear."

All these quotes are really meaningful to me. I don't have to explain anything because the quotes are itself obvious. But still, anyone can question me about the meanings of any of these quotes.
